Join Niagara Swords for ongoing coached training, recreational fencing and competition preparation. Practices take place every Monday and Wednesday at Canada Games Park.
Niagara Swords provides ongoing coached training for experienced youth, teen and adult fencers. Whether you want to fence recreationally, develop your skills or prepare for competition, our club offers a welcoming and challenging training environment.
New members must be at least nine years old and have previous fencing experience.

Regular coached training twice each week.

6:00–9:00 p.m.
Youth under 12 finish at 8:00 p.m.

Schedule changes are communicated through club broadcasts and updated on the live Coacha calendar.
Choose your membership
Fees and payment
$85 per month
Monthly membership includes HST and is collected automatically through Coacha. Recurring payments can be paused or cancelled by contacting the club.
$25 per drop-in practice
Cash and e-transfer arrangements are available. Send e-transfers to coach@fencingniagara.com and include the member’s name and payment month or practice date.

How to join Niagara Swords
- Complete the Niagara Swords membership registration through Coacha.
- Email coach@fencingniagara.com to confirm the date of your first practice.
- Obtain or renew your Canadian Fencing Federation licence and Ontario Fencing Association membership.
- Review the equipment requirements and arrange any equipment you still need.
- Review the Rowan’s Law concussion information and complete the required acknowledgement.
Licence and OFA membership
Every member must maintain a valid Canadian Fencing Federation licence and Ontario Fencing Association membership. Licences expire July 31 and are renewed annually in August.
- Choose a competitive licence if you intend to enter competitions.
- Choose a recreational licence if you only plan to fence within the club.
Equipment
Club members are expected to own the basic equipment required for their weapon. New members should have their equipment within one month of joining.
Contact the club before purchasing equipment if you need guidance about requirements, sizing or suppliers.

Rowan’s Law and membership waiver
Athletes under 26, parents of athletes under 18, coaches and trainers must review the applicable concussion information and Code of Conduct annually.
